Nomura's heavy-duty machining characteristics: The Why Normura?

Nomura has the highest torque and thrust in its class. It is ideal for tough materials!
The headstock column supports full depth cutting over full stroke.
All box way mating surfaces are hand scraped.
Nomura has a large gear under the rotary table with a double pinion gear to eliminate backlash.
OThe bed supports the rotary table for entire X-axis with no table overhang.
Long spindle nose reaches beyond table edge for better access to the workpiece.
The gap between bar and milling spindle is .0002"max.
Bar roundness < 1µ.(000040" )
Cylindricity <1.5µ (.000060")
TIR <5µ (.0002") up to 74" long.
surface finish: 4µ or better.
No structural deformation.
No dimensional distortion
No wear.

HIGH ACCURACY ENSURED:
The spindle undergoes more than 20 processes from nitriding to super finishing which ensures many long years of use with minimal wear.
The adoption of the nose type spindle head allows better accessibility to your workpiece and reduces the extended amount of the spindle, allowing rigidity and heavy duty cutting without issues.
Higher spindle speeds and faster rapid feeds shortens your cutting time, improving your productivity
With the high output AC motor for the rotation drive of the spindle, 2 stage stepless speed change over a wide range is possibleand the high torque is obtainable
Nomura uses bearing with a super high rigidity and precision to assure the high precision in the spindle rotating system.
Finally: the bearing components of the spindle are equipped with mist lubrication and the outer spindle and motor flange employ an oil-jacket cooling system, they are free from heat and distortion caused by friction and supports the high speed cutting and heavy -duty machining.

Spindle undergoes quality testing to ensure accuracy, power and rigidity HBA-110T-R2

In a nutshell, the Nomura lines of Horizontal Boring and Milling machines make a very good horizontal boring mill replacement. Their emphasis on quality dating back to 1913 has brought them into the 21 century, where they have continuous improvements in technology as this industry moves into the future.
While they focus on new technologies, they contiue with their old world machine tool building that made them a machine tool to buy. Hand-scraped, high -quality components, extra rigidity and large beds allow for some of the heaviest, most challenging workpiece machining out there. They stand out from their competitors.
Their FANUC control has stood the test of time and remains a great feature of these boring mills.
We chose Nomura over plenty of horizontal boring mills to represent.
Our history with Nomura has proven that they are a great machine for big jobs.
Nomura will last your shop while increasing your productivity and finished parts with quality.
