With so many years rebuilding machines with our German-style of rebuilding, we know that many suppliers, re-builders, and even machine tool builders will use what they call TURCITE. Buyer beware. We have our dedicated supplier that supplies the original TURCITE with the quality, thickness and durability that is a must. ![]() Pictured here is what is left of the #factory #applied Turcite. The problem with this Turcite? It was extremely thin and not wide enough to handle the workload. Mike Rossi diagnosed the issue when the customer asked for an evaluation of the machine's performance. Mike cleaned the thin and broken Turcite off. The issue was that the Turcite was glued on but it started to disintegrate as the removal process began. It is pictured below: Mike Rossi finished removing the old Turcite and proceeded to clean the part. Once the Turcite has set, it is ready to proceed to the next step. This Bridgeport Rebuild project includes us troubleshooting other issues on the mill, and performing the repairs. The goal is to get this machine back to performing well for the customer. Follow along as we do a step by step #rebuild/#repair. Scroll down to watch a short video on applying Turcite. Rebuilding is an Art which requires, skill, patience, and accuracy. Mike Rossi was trained in the German-style of rebuilding. Whether it is our services or our machine tool sales, we provide excellence in everything we do. Call to discuss what we can do for you:
