Ever wonder why certain machine parts don't last? Sometimes it comes down to chemistry. There are several brands of Taiwanses built machines that use aluminium tubing in their lubricaiton lines. Unfortunately when the aluminum is clamped down to the cast iron of the machine a chemical reaction occurs and over time the result is a rotted line. A recent customer had to replace a ball screw due to this very condition. If you're using an excessive amount of oil or your machine's axes sound a little bit noisier, we can help you identify the problem.
For machines with #box #ways this condition will shorten the life of the #TURCITE way material, causing issues with #accuracy and #repeatability. #Machine#Tool#Builders apply the #Turcite way material in only one- thirty second thickness. Without proper #lubrication the Turcite can become dangerously thin, resulting in damage to the #Harden #Ways. This would require grinding or replacement of the #way #bars.
